AndyMan Update

Ok, I have a new goal, not as ambitious as the Slam....

I want to get my home Internet working this week! I know, it's not an easy goal, what with having to work at an actual place of business and all (I don't get to sit around in my underwear and make fun of my on-line students like some, and soon to be more of you do!)

There's one goal. Here's another, take another 3 weeks off of running. My foot feels so much better, but it still isn't healed. I gotta hang in there for the rest of October, then come back cautiously.

I gotta say, the best thing about the time off, I don't have to update things like mileage on the blog. I am not keeping track of weight (though my clothes are starting to fit again, and I don't like that at all.

Also, it will help to stay positive! PMA (no it's not Pick My @ss! It's Positive Mental Attitude, you people make me sick!)

Goals I can handle, the New Grand Slam:
Internet
Don't Run
Be Positive
Two out of three aint bad!

Ok, So it was me, I'M The Jerk!

You ever have something happen, and you gotta go, you know, it was really nobody's fault.

Well, if that's true than yesterday I was nobody! I screwed everyone at the John Holmes 50K, I was supposed to guide them onto the trail a mere 1 mile in to the race. I goofed. I couldn't find the trail. But to be fair; it is a trail I've only run 179 times run before. It's the blue trail not like the Orange trail that I've run 714 times, that one I could have found.

No excuses, I messed up! Boy did I feel like a ________________!

As Star Would Say...

Let's get Ready for the Next Big Thing!

Well the next big thing is the Western States 100 in June, but in order to get ready for it I'm going to do something I'd advice no one to do, I'm going to take my own advice, I'm going to be cross-training. Let's see, I just got a $75 gift certificate from Bike Works (I don't even know where it is, but I donated some money to WMNF and got the GC) so, I'm a biking fool now.
Oh sure, by mid-November, I'll be running in the mountains of Georgia but for for now it's Mountain biking at either Croom, Flatwoods, Alafia, or Balm Boyette. That'll be a good time.

So, I"ll see you later and Go Rays, Beat the Sox off of the Boston Beanies!

K Sarah? K!

Que Sera, Sera!

I aint kiddin'. I mean good luck to A2, good luck to Woody, and great luck to Scott Springman, but today is the last day of the Grandslam, and it ends in Arkansas.

Not to whack a dead horse, but, aint but about 15 people ever beat me at Arkansas... and I've run it twice! (a few of them beat me twice, but with an average finish of 10th, it's been good to me) I should be there, it was a mistake to cancel my trip. I know I told the Good Doctor that it was alright, I know I said I had found balance, yeah, well that was when things were going well. They haven't been going well, not at all. I've had a dark couple of weeks, very dark. It's got me feeling:

Hey Star, tell us about the SEC.
Hey Gator Fan, tell us how no fruit sucks like like the big orange.
Professor, send us some Urban Dickshunairy
Hey Chaser, who's playing at the sh*thole, er, I mean the Lair?
Hey SuperDave.... no I can actually talk to him.
Honesty, don't come round here with that.
Tell your story walking.
Oh God, you're not going to talk about feelings are you?
The truth will set you free..... of all of your friends and loved ones.
I need just a good week. I need a good month. Honesty may just be about the least attractive thing in the world. You ever notice when people tell the truth, they do it very quietly. To a person, people want the truth, people want openness, as long as you are saying something safe, and for God's sake do it quickly! Jack Nicholson was right, We can't handle the truth.

Beware U R!

Last night the Good Doctor and I went to the USF game.

Pittsburgh opened up a can of Whoop-Ass on the Bulls. It was a lot more of a beatin' then the score would dictate (and you guys know what Darla from the Little Rascals says about Dictate!).

Of course, the Good Doctor and I may be the onliest ones that noted the beaten because every other person in the Stadium was too busy texting their cyber-friends, their mistresses, or some cat in section 336!

Hey guys, how about this.... BE WHERE YOU ARE! If you are at the game, leave the phone in the car! If you are on a date with your MS (main squeeze) don't feel like you need to text some bimbo when MS is in the RR. If you are at Skippers, Leave your phone in the car! If you are in the Car, only use the phone if you are NOT DRIVING THE CAR!

Getting a little crazy with the technology? Well, you guys, my BFFs know that We R!

Tale of the Scale:

I really don't know. But I wanted to post sompin'

Heard from Woody and Trudi today, and let me tell you I want to go to Arkansas. It's not even missing the race (well, ok it is) but it's I feel like I'm letting A2, Woody, and Scott, way down

:-(

My hearts as heavy as a bucket of hogs' livers over this one.

Any how, mostly the news is good and plenty.

We'll be writing about the biking exploits once I get them pedals. I'll write about the USF game on Thursday. I'll tell a few Sarah Palin jokes maybe a few remember when John McCain was young jokes (by the way did you hear in 1894 he narrowly avoided being person to be hit by a car!)

Anyway, it'll be a Slice!
