It was a Good Week!

I started the week feeling less than great about my running life. But alas after these 6 days:
Friday: 6 yuck very hot, very hard.
Saturday: 7 at Flatwoods- Good run, nice easy pace.
Sunday: 14 at Croom with Davo, Hot, horrible, wanted to die!
Monday: 5 at Flatwoods in the pouring rain. Awesome, no problem
Tuesday: With Davo in Lutz. Easy for Davo, almost impossible for me. Too fast, but valuable.
Wednesday: 15.5 with A2 and Nick. I felt pretty good. For the first time in a while I felt like I may be able to run long distances again.

What made the week good was that I felt much better at the end of the week than the beginning of the week. I actually got the sense that if I keep it up, I'll be ok.

It's an up and down thing, and I think that's what it's going to be like as I enter my 50's. I'll just prepare better than I have been. Better nutrition plan. Keep check on weight. And for God's sake, cross train. (I recently bought a bike race, now there's a baby step in the right direction.

We'll see.......

Well welcome back.

Maybe if you run for a few more weeks you can make a trip all the way around my quads.

Good luck yayhoo!

Thanks Dean. One day I'll be able to navigate around your massive muscles, but for now, I'm just going to try to make it around the local trails. Baby steps....

It was great running with you on Sunday! I'm not so sure it was a confidence-builder for me (dang the humidity!!!), but it sure was fun getting dirty with you :)
