I Spitz on Retirement!

Rumors of my dismemberment were greatly exagerated! I ran 16 miles on Saturday with Becky and A2.
I'll run a long way this weekend.
I'm running 12 hours (and several miles!) on May 8, Miles for Moffitt.
Wyoming Double Marathon? Sent my race Ap in today!
Western States, oh, it's on! But after that.....

I am absolutely retiring from Ultra Running after Western States this year!!!!Oh, it's happening!!!

Now what am I going to do with my retirement? .....

Does anyone know the e-mail for Stu for Ancient Oaks? I think I'd like to consider that as my first race when I come out of retirement.

Oh, and Frank Sierra, you ever think maybe you'd like to pace anybody at an Ultra? Maybe at Umstead next year? It's the last weekend in March, and it may be lst race coming out of my next retirement.Anyway, just some stuff I'm thinking about for my retirement time.

Also, I want to run Croom on Saturday, maybe someone can join me?

Hey DooFuss, that's the same crap you said in your post! Looks to me like you've already retired, but then again, I'm running to USF from my cozy hot-chick laiden home in the Bay Area (no the one in Cali DOO-FUSS!) and then running the 12 hours. I'm Running to Wyoming for the double Marathon (from same hot-chick Layden home) and States, well, I'll probably win!

See you at the shuffleboard pitch, AndyWoMan!

I'm considering Lean Horse (and NOT the half-hundred) for 2010...will you be out of retirement by then?

Yes mam, I'll be out of retirement by then. Just curious, why S.Dakota or N. Dakota or wherever that one is?

Course, I'll probably have to run it too, if I'm not retired, which I won't be, unless..

Star, I could be convinced to join you for that one, love them Dakotas, and not a long drive from here, you wants company, I'm in,

send me the dates and link, what the heh! You can even fly to Denver and drive up there with me, if you don't see the need to spend a crapload of dollars on a flight to a tiny burg.

You crazy kids! You can't post that kind of stuff on MY blog! What if my husband sees it??? I have over a year to talk him into this...and it's probably going to take bit of that to convince him that running 100 miles is completely a sane decision.

The website is: http://www.leanhorse.com/. The date this year is Aug. 22/23, so I imagine next year it'll be around the same time.

My trail mate from Umstead says it's his favorite. I like it because it's an out-and-back, with just over 7000ft of climbing. And if I'm going to attempt 100 miles, it has to be "somewhat doable!"

Thanks for the invite Chase...I'll take all the company I can get!
