Friends Who are Rocking

Chris Wedge, you are going to Boston!

Man, I know the name of that tune. Took me 1,2,3, ............ 16 tries before I qualified. Glad you could do it more quickly. Makes me want to run fast again, shoot, makes me want to run again!

Andrea "Star" Risi, you broke 6 hours at the 1/2 IM in Miami! I believe it took me 6 hours to do the 30 mile ride around San Antonio, and yeah, you went farther, faster, morer!

What do they have in common?

Them two had goals!
Chris had a goal, he made a plan and he rocked it.

Andrea had a goal, she even said it out loud. And then she trained. The GD bailed on her. I bailed on her, but she didn't need us, she did it all by her lonesome.

Congrats guys. I think I'll get me one of them goals....

...........And I had This much to spare! ..............

Tell Stu and RayK and Matt and Jim and all the gang I said "hey" ...

I'll let the pic slide this time since I'm still in a SoBe mood.

Vielen Dank Andy and to all of you who said I could reach my sub-six goal. (Come to think of it, you said that more than once to me this year!!!). I looked at my "chicks don't quit" bracelet throughout the run :)

Sometimes it's important to say your goals outloud where you'll be held accountable (by your friends who'll kick your @$$ if you wuss out). And it's ALWAYS important to have goals...

ROCK ON!!!

I love that picture of Andrea! Plus look, she has five fingers up on one hand and none on the other, and she had 5 minutes to spare. See, I'm like a blogging genius.

As for my goals, soon, very soon.

Chase - I couldnt turn down a hunnert thats only 35 miles from home...besides, I only got to run like 6 loops on that course last year while pacing Andy...I hear it really starts to look nice after 20 or so.

Andy - I need a chicks don't quit bracelet.
