LA Story

There is a great scene (er, an ok scene) in the great movie (er, ok movie) LA Story. Steve Martin, the main character, is sitting by the window watching the rain. He uses his finger and traces the fog off of the window writing, "Bored beyond belief!"

Well, I'd rather be running, I really want to run, but I am trapped at work, so here is my window tracing:

Also, for fabulous prizes (a lounge suite, among them) answer:

Danny Zucco lettered in what sport?
Fritz Mondale was from what state?
Kitty-Litter refers to?
Steve Garvey went to what high school?
To "stray" is to wander, to "Strayer" is to ____.

Oh, yeah, I was going to the gym, but no way, I'm running after work today!

yesterday, 6 (ish) miles, 5 bridges
today: 7 miles

track,

minn.,

a) clumping, clay based cat poop absorber b) the product of a proud momma cat c) all those cigarette butts and used condoms kitties fling from their cars along the bad parts of Dale Mabry

Steve Garvey, baseball star, Chamberlain High School, Class of 1969: Garvey had 2,599 hits over a nearly 20-year career with the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres. At Chamberlain, he played football and basketball, too. But he had a tough time getting a college scholarship. Michigan State University finally came through with a half-scholarship.

To Strayer: "To attend an online university of questionable veracity" or "to misspell the name of most excellent rock band, Slayer" ...

Hey good stuff, I see that you are bored at work too. As a fan of the small screen I was surprised to see you jump on Danny Zucco. Danny and track, they go together like....

Glad you left Kitty-Litter for my brother, he'll nail that one.

Steve Garvey, yes, but what was his nickname? Ahh,

You know some very smart people have degrees from Strayer, just so you know!

Kitty Litter? Z'at a note from that purty lady on "What's My Line?"?

To Stray is to Wander as Strayer is to not go nowhere's (Imo strayer whilst junior goes to git mo' pork rinds).

Track. Minnesota. I actually had forgotten Steve "Pooterhead" Garvey, had gone to Chamberline. Dave Okamoto once dropped a baseball in an all-star game that would have sent Town and Country to play former Tampa Powerhouse Belmont Heights. Name at least one Belmont Heights standout.

Oh, sure, Strayer ... I mean, it's no University of Denver, is all I'm saying!

Pooterhead? I thought it was Iron Man ... And speaking of excellent bands from the 80s, going to see Night Ranger and Survivor on Labor Day Weekend, rock on!

You can STILL rock in America!

(yep, figured out how to add links to my blog, thanks)

Kitty Litter. A whiskey bottle, a gin bottle and a hash pipe all laying at the feet of the former first lady of Mass. Kitty Dukakis.

Steve Garvey, Popeye.

Chase was right about Strayer, I'm sending him the lounge suite!
