As Star Would Say...

Let's get Ready for the Next Big Thing!

Well the next big thing is the Western States 100 in June, but in order to get ready for it I'm going to do something I'd advice no one to do, I'm going to take my own advice, I'm going to be cross-training. Let's see, I just got a $75 gift certificate from Bike Works (I don't even know where it is, but I donated some money to WMNF and got the GC) so, I'm a biking fool now.
Oh sure, by mid-November, I'll be running in the mountains of Georgia but for for now it's Mountain biking at either Croom, Flatwoods, Alafia, or Balm Boyette. That'll be a good time.

So, I"ll see you later and Go Rays, Beat the Sox off of the Boston Beanies!

Did you see the Sports Page on ESPN today? It made me throw-up in my mouth! It said, "Destiny's Darlings" so I clicked on it, knowing I'd be reading about the Rays, and there's an article about the frick n fracking Red Sox! Pardon me, but didn't they come in 2nd in the AL east to the up and comers, the Rays?

I hope the Sox never win another game and that ESPN goes the way of the Leeman Brothers!

All of Tampa (and really probably the whole darn country!)

Whoa, all of Tampa, hold on now.

I hope the Red Sox win just enough games so they don't get the first pick.

I hope the Red Sox beat however is in second place to the Rays.

I hope the Red Sox win if they are ever playing a team from another planet and that planet wishes to take over our planet.

See, I'm a nice guy!

Man, what a bunch of bandwagon jumpers! I've seen all those empty seats at the Trop, I know y'all don't support the team until, 'Hey, look at that we're in the playoffs," and I know that attendence averaged less than 60 percent capacity at home this year (Boston, meanwhile, averaged 104 percent of capacity ... huh? More than 100 percent, yes, they sell "SRO" tickets, "standing room only" so you get into the park, you just don't get a seat)

So I chuckle at this "ra ra Rays" stuff ... y'all thought they were a minor league development squad for the Bucs until last week.

Sheesh.

Sox in 5

Hey, Hey, we aren't all bandwagon jumpers. I for instance haven't been to a game yet! If they go up three - 0 in the series, then I'll buy a shirt!

(still this from a guy that gave up on the Sox when they went down 3-1 in the ALCS last year, just saying!)

So the Sox have 104% attendance? With the 2nd biggest MLB payroll, the 7th largest TV market, a 60% higher area population and 104 years in Boston to build a fan base they should be very impressed they were able to outdraw a Tampa team that has been miserable franchise for its first 10 years of existence. But fans don't win ball games, players do. Rays in 6.

I'll let you borrow my N-B-T just 'cause I like ya. As for mountain biking, in the words of Elton John, "Don't go breaking my arm..."

Go, Twins! Wait. Did I miss something?

Mr. Matt said...

Hey Star, what's N-B-T? Nothing But Trouble? Nobody Beats Tofurky?

Where you at?

Are you coming to the race tomorrow? I have a feeling John Holmes is going to rip me a new one (continue with joke here).

Okay, Bro, time for a new post. The Slam may be over, but the AndyMan and his following go on. Maybe you can change your layout, but keep posting.
