Well folks, Andy asked me to update the blog for him. He's on the road homeward bound. Jon and Woody are traveling by plane, and may well be home already. Becky and her children are vacationing in Maine. As for the Vermont 100, it was a mixed bag. Andy reported that the weather and the comrodery were wonderful. The race itself posed unique challenges. Becky and Woody both held tough, but after 72 and 82 miles respectively, they both had to listen to their bodies and drop. Andy listened to Becky's body as well (he stayed with her to seek medical support). Jon Docs stepped up for Florida, completing the race with an impressive time of 22:58. All the kids are well and are recovering. Rumblings of the next 100-miler can already be heard. Rest assured that memories of the pain will dull; toenails will grow back; and long training runs in the Florida heat will resume.

Glad to hear all are well ... I know everyone gave it their all, dropping is tough. But know you did the right thing at the time, it happens, and go get'em next time ...
btw, thanks Barb for filling in :-)
Thanks, Barb.
i know it is tuff to fall short, but shit you still got farther than alot of folks--including this hottie.
glad that there were no significant injuries.
so andy, did you get your burger?
Andy stopped by on his way back and is in good spirits, had some good stories, and, as usual, was great company. No Scotch this time (I forgot). I'll save it for next time.
