Who's more macho, Chase or Me?
I only ask because Chase used pliers to rip off his toenail (his counselor thought the was nuts, I on the other hand was impressed.) Well, after Vermont one of my toenails was giving me some trouble and my tool kit was in the car and so I reached down and gave the nail a little yank. I aint lying, it only took me three pulls and, viola! that nail was no mas!
So, which is mas macho, pliers or hand? That looks like a good survey question.

Lo siento, mi hermano. Tu amigo "Chase" es mas macho esse tiempo.
Pliers? Well, that is pretty boss, seems like Dad used to pull our teeth out with pliers, that's macho, it also may very well be child abuse!
What Superdave524 said ... btw, you run in a place called "Flatwoods," oh, that's a good place to build hill strength :-)
Me? Oh, a quick 25. Up a mountain.
(and when I start putting the toenales back ON with pliers, then we'll know who's macho!)
-- Actually, my vote goes to the one of us who can break 21 in a hunnert.
Using tools is for wimps...hands are much more cro magnon...oh la la!! course, I am sucking up to the local runner who will run many flat miles with me...{sorry chase!}
I have another ready to go, this time I'm going to put a little steak sauce on it and have the neighbor's pit bull tear it off! Will that be mas enough? You guys are sick!
As for Florida Running, not meaning to brag, but tomorrow will be doing, "E's Hill," "Twin Peaks," "Croom Mountain," AND "Bundy's Pit." Mas enough para tu? I thought so, apology accepted!
AndyMan
ps, there was a Harper sighting at Flatwoods today, no spidy shorts though.
After all, YOU are the "Andyhombre", not the "Andychico"!
Ah, the elusive Florida Woodland Harper ... there's an independent entry into "mas macho" ... three Badwaters? Huh?
Grats to him for breaking 48 and earning the buckle.
I still don't get that race, they don't provide aid stations, don't close the roads and don't really monitor things, they just charge $450 and meet you at the finish.
If you want to run the BadRocky 135, stop by my house, give me $450, then run around the Rockys for 135 miles (bring your own crew and gu) and then come back by the house. If you do it in less than 48 hours, I'll give you a belt buckle.
(Casa Squires Wild West Room is open for visitors if you want to come out and run some hills ... but be warned, first big snows are just 60 days away)
Yeah, Badwater is kind of a ripoff isn't it?
On the other hand there's the Bay to Lake Run that I host in Florida. Starts at the mouth of Tampa Bay goes 148 miles to the South Eastern shore of the nation's second largest freshwater lake. It's only $440, and you get a Tee Shirt, and you get a belt buckle if you finish. There are hundreds of aid stations (not just 7-11's either, any you get a discount at all Marathon stations, it's a name thing.) This race promises to be more miserable than Badwater!
Oh, yeah, I don't take checks, cash only. And the T-Shirts aren't race specific. And the belt buckle isn't race specific either, but you are on the honor system! If you tell me you finished, I believe you!
