Silver Lake

Took two FU Runners, Scott Boe (buy his shirts) and Dr. Frank, (cheer him up, he's always feeling down in the mouth!) down the Silver Lake Trail today, see, they'd never been.

I'm so doggone slow these days (the other day I was running and it was either Jon, or maybe it was Woody, and I look over and he's driving a stake into the ground, and I'm like, "Hey Man, What ARE you doing?" and he said, clear as a bell, "I'm making sure you are still moving!") that I've got to take people running in places where they aren't familiar so they HAVE to stay with me and I'll have some company.

Hey, it may be cheesy, but it works!

Ok, First I have an ifallible sense of Direction, (I once navigated my way across the US of A so I could run marathons in 50 states in 50 days, well ME and the north face team navigated.) So, I wouldn't be afraid of getting lost, and, hence, therefore, so, I wouldn't be running with you. But if I see your steak I'll eat it (provided it's from my health food company!)

How said I wasn't funny?

Dean, couple of quicky observations, 1: How said? Do you mean who said? If so, well, er, everybody.

2: Not that kind of steak. The kind of stake that is used in surveying and stuff. See, the dude, I think it was Woody, pounded the stake in to use a point of reference versus me. He would come back every 1/2 hour or so and measure my distance from the stake, and I was in fact moving. So there!

1. It's better than having a stake through your heart.

2. Fast, slow or half-dead: At least you're running dude!

3. I've heard of people like you...luring naive victims into the woods. The AT murder story was on Dateline just last night.

ah, the Silver Lake loop, I love that loop ... good way to turn a 15 day into a 20, too ...

I was up in the mountains, some snow on the ground, but not enough to keep me off the trails!

Chase, on Silver Lake, there wasn't a snowball in sight! But, sadly I must report that the humidity reared its ugly head. Gonna be a long summer....
