So, it looks like HFUU is now represented by Booze Monkey. Hey, if it's ok with Chase, it's ok with me. I reckon if you ever feel the need to harden up you feel like there is a Monkey on your back. This will serve as a constant reminder.
I'm all for it, bending final approval by Chase that is. Ok, Now that I have that Monkey off (er, I guess I mean on) my back, I can get back to running!

Just in time for your return to "serious training" ... wanted to tell you about a way cool website I found about a week ago. For those of you who already know about it, maybe I'm just a little slow, OK? Anyway, its:
http://www.usatf.org/routes/map/
It's a US Track and Field website that will allow you to figure out the distance of any running or cycling route you do. It uses GPS technology and will measure the route to the nearest .01 mile. It gives you the mile markers along the way. No more driving a route in my car checking the odometer to see how far I just ran or plan to run.
Just type in your zip code and the map will zoom to a tight shot of your neighborhood. Then click on the starting location. Every subsequent click along the path will give you updated distance. You can map your route overlayed on a drawn map of the area or over a satellite image of the actual area. I run on the roads so maps are fine but I suppose if you run off road and the route you run has a defined trail, you could use it that way. You can zoom or get a wide angle shot. I used it to map my favorite routes and to measure a 5k and 10k route that start and finish at my house.
Give it a few minutes and you can see what it does.
Happy running.
Hey, another one the Barb turned me on to is walkrunjog.com Same type o thing. Turns out I am not quite as slow as I thougt, most of my perceived distances were actually a little shoter than actual. That's the first nice Sunday surprise I've since.... well, since.... it's nice, that's all.
As for T-Shirt plans, if you want to send that image to cafepress.com or something and actually have shirts made, Bruce Christopher, the artist who drew him says, "go for it" ... if the sales actually generate a buck or two, we should prolly split it between charity and Bruce, eh? ...
And a mighty fine looking T-shirt it is. I think you found your new calling Andy. I'll start looking for irregular shirts with that shape.
Keep on runnin'
