Tail on the Scale #4: Slow but Steady...

Slow but Steady means I'm still fat! (Well, heavier that I'd like to be given the challenge that lays in front of me).

Down one more pound. 178. Hey, not bad, but I kinda had two pounds per week in mind and it's like coming off in one pound a week increments. Well, if the race was 20 weeks from now instead of like, er 6! Hey, no problem, now I can give up Alcohol (6 of 7 days a week.) Before I'd only given up beer and the rule was simply, "Never at Dusk." Now it's Alcohol and it's every day but Friday or Saturday. Of course Colorado doesn't count (gotta have some fun :)

There you have it. If this doesn't work I'm giving up Cheesecake (I only said before I was giving up dessert, I've been having that as my main course :)
...............Chocolate Marble Cheesecake, Yum, Yum!..................

I'll see you later, you may not see me, I'm disappearing!

For the record, I am the QUEEN of cheesecake making. My all-time best is the Chocolate Kahula Cheesecake. Rich. Indulgent. Decadent. Its kinda like crack...once you have it, you'll be begging for more. Shall I make one to enjoy after this weekend's run?

Star when the slam is over, I'd love to slam some of that cheesecake! And it's over on my birthday (+ a week) so what a great present! September 2008 baby!

Star, I don't doubt that you can bake a mean cheesecake, but it's purdy obvious you don't generally actually EAT much of it. Does this have something to do with this moderation fad I've been hearing about?

Andy: you got it! Let me know when you're ready for the cheesecake experience of your life. How old are ya gonna be anyway?

Uhhh, SD: how would you know what I look like I eat? (?) I'm not one of those girls you look at and say, "I think that skinny girl should eat an entire cheesecake!" Anyway to answer your question: I only make goodies when I can share them. Otherwise, I'd be on Andy's plan.

Star, it's hard for me to believer, but on Se;ptember 2, this year, I'll be 47. Same age as my pop was when he made his Pall Mall induced exit. That's why I have to do the slam this year, gimpy ped and all!

And believe me, I'll be ready for that cheesecake! If I make the Slam we'll have a humdinger of a B'day and Slam bash, Super D will have to make it down and we'll get after it and get after some cheesecake too!

I think that I know how you feel about doing the Slam this year.

My mother made her Pall Mall induced exit 6 days after her 50th birthday. I ran my first Boston 2 days after my 50th birthday. Had to do it. Was able to head to Key West 6 days after my 50th birthday.

Can I have a bite of the cheesecake?

I stand (or sit) corrected, Star.

Thanks Arlene, I'll get more into the spiritual side of the slam in the book, but ultimately it is what's driving me to run through this pain, hopefully it will help exorcise the lifetime pain.

Its settled then. Everyone comes down or over (or through the woods) for Andy's Grand-Slam-Birthday-Bash Celebration in September. We'll have all the cheesecake you can eat, a keg, and apparently "it," whatever that may be.

And for gosh sakes, Andy! Its WHEN you finish the Grand Slam. WHEN you finish!!!

I'll tear into that Grand Slam like a windmill in a hurricane! And then I'll be on that Cheesecake like ugly on an ape!

As for the Keg, well SuperD asked me once, "Did you ever drink Canada Dry?" No, SuperD, but I'll give it a shot (and I'll drink the shot too!)

BTW, I think that Party will be at Jon's house.

It can only be at Jon's if Hannah is there.
