I didn't want to run today, I had to!
Last night, Melting Pot to celebrate the Ali-Cats report card. Well, who was I to say no to a glass of wine, 3 melted Swiss chesses, 2 melted chocolates, various veggies and sea treasures cooked in cholesterol-free oil? No one! I had to do it, but I didn't have to let it put my belly back on! Even though I'm re-tapering and even though I ran 18 yesterday, I coaxed the Good Doctor into running 12.5 today at Morris Bridge.
It was fun, and we really moved that last few hundred yards, the girls got moves I tell you.
Speaking of moves, I need to work on mine. Why is it I can talk someone in to running for hours in the Florida heat and humidity but I can't talk someone in to _____________ with me? Oh, well, I guess I'm just a __________!

wearing a ball gag; victim of my own strange fetishes
maybe you could _____ yourself until your persuasion skills round into top form. Will the taper help with that? Not my area of expertise...
Captain Kangaroo nostalgia night; a-Jonesin' for Mr. Greenjeans.
Now you're being modest, you had no trouble talking me into it. (We're talking about running up a mountain in Colorado, right?)
... SD, I was always a Mr. Moose man, myself. Love those ping pong balls!
Mr Mathews, can I have a multiple choice test? I'm not very good at fill-in-the-blanks....
But I thought you HATE the Melting Pot ?
Oh, BTW, you talked me into a movie !
The correct fillings were:
Can't talk someone into: kicking field goals.
I guess I'm just a victim of my own strange fetishes.
50% Prof, you still fail, but I'm worried about the validity of a two-question exam.
I personally like the Choose Your Own Adventure stories:
Once there was a _____ (noun) called _____ (name). He used to _____ (verb) and _____ (verb) so much that he finally _____(past-tense verb).
Mr. Moose did rock, Chase. You remember the Banana Man?
Aight, Star, I'll try:
There once was a "man from Nantucket",
Called "the Union Gap's own Gary Puckett",
He used to "sin" and "grin",
So much he finally "had to chuck it".
Or has that one already been done.
Good verse, SD!
Oh, my bad. That's a Mad Lib...right?
