Yip-a-Rooni! Last darn track meet today, before districts that is.
The team gets cut in 1/2 for districts, then down to next to nuttin' for regionals, then maybe a few go to state maybe none. Don't yet know.
I'll be really darn happy after districts though, I can tell you that. It's not that I don't like track, it's just so much work.
.............. And after Track, it's Prom baby! ................

Good luck to the lads and ladies. May they all challenge themselves and be pleased with their efforts.
And years from now in a bar they can lie about how they did, "Oh, sure, back in the day I was real fast ... In fact, I was third at states in 100 meters ... then I blew a knew, old injury, don't like to talk about it ..."
Yeah, these guys are gonna have to lie! 'Course if they came to practice, then they might could tell tell Truth!
Next year, well, I aint doing track, no way (yes, I did say that this year, but next year.... I'll mean it!!!)
Yes, you did say you would not coach track this year.
But remember, you wanted the team to do their best; that is why you agreed to do it.
Why don't you see how it goes and decide next year ? :)
how'd you get suckered into chaperoning prom? my excuse is i've never been to one...actually, i'm good friends with the prom organzizer and i owe her one. AND my fav (female) students want to dance with me.
We don't have proms here in Lake County becasue everyone knows that dancing leads to sinning and witchcraft.
Good luck at district.
