Well, did 1/2 of that, I hung with Davo, the lovely Lisa (Davo really out-kicked his coverage with her) and Becky and Jon. But I did not run with them. Instead I got the brilliant idea of running from my Central Tampa home to northern Lutz suburbia (used to be the stix.) The run is 13-miles if you go the back way and don't make any wrong turns. Shoot, going the quickest route, it's only 11 miles and there is only one turn, I believe you end up in Michigan if you miss that one turn. Anyway the direct route had no appeal to me, as it's right down a very busy road, and I was starting the run at 4:45 in conjunction with rush hour (good movie.)
You, know it wasn't that bad. Turns out, sure there was traffic on my long way, but there was also a runnable grass shoulder the whole way (and sidewalks for yall without a mix of Plantar Fascitiss and shin splints.) Also, there is just something neat about going, "Ok, yeah, what time? Yeah, I think I'll just run there. No, I've got a couple of water bottles, I'll be fine."
15 Miles, Two hours, a bottle of water, a bottle of Heed, and an extra two miles (one wrong turn when I entered the woods near their house and figured I could slop my way over there, I was wrong) I arrived at Davo and Lisa's.
It wasn't that bad, but I aint gonna rush hour out and do it again either!

ps, I caught a ride home.

Ooh, that reminds me of a run we did one time ... how come everyone else had a bike?
That's almost cooler than running from Squaw Valley to Auburn...
Chase, there we no hills and it wasn't very hot, also it was only 15 instead of 40, but other than that...
Prof, these awful runs helps us prepare for that absolute boredom of 3 am and everything hurts and your on your 6th or 25th loop. Will it ever end?!!
I frequently run to my local friend's house (no, the apostrophe is not misplaced). The key here is not not venture more than a block or two. And what's wrong with an eighty-five year old woman with fifteen cats, anyway? Worked for Harold and Maude.
Chase, you mention bikes. I bet that's where Andy got this ultra thing from. Ange, tell 'em about our bike hikes...
Chase, we used to go on bike hikes.
Run Forrest, RUN!! If you grow a beard, wear only running shorts and start running EVERYWHERE, I'll die laughing. If I'd only driven by you running on Livingston....
And SD: What's so wrong wtih cat ladies??? If you count all the cats, you'd have more than ONE friend ;)
How much weight did you lose on that little jaunt?
Subtract that amount from 23 and you will know how many more you need to lose to make your goal of 23.
I'm good at maff!
Ok Arlene, now you're just rubbing it in that some of us are right-brain thinkers...you know that makes us NOT good at math, logic or lanugage. Careful though, this IS Andy's blog afterall, and you might piss him off by reminding him of his challenges.
Yeah, yeah. Cats are alright. I was exaggerating a bit (what? you knew that?). I have a coupla yard dawgs, and one cat that visits from time to time.
I shall yield. Just trying to help.....
