The Last Day of Spring

For the rest of you Floridians, enjoy; after today no more spring.

Well, I have Spring through May, oh, not the season, today would be the last day of that. It's about 60 and beautiful outside. About 11 AM it'll get hot and stay hot till September 42nd, then there will come along a nice crisp fall day. But I'll have Alexis and Ryan, the Spring twins, in class at school through the end of the year, so there's that. They're good kids, but to be honest, I'll miss the cool days more this summer!

But, the heat, it's great training, since we have no mountains (no Croom Mountain doesn't count, thank you very little) the heat is our equalizer as we Floridians travel around the US of A. We may not like it, but we better learn to love it! Soldier on, soldier on!

Uhhff...don't even remind me about the looonngg hot humid running we have ahead of us. The kind of weather where you feel like your skin is melting off your body. The kind where you'll take chances with the gators just to sooth your scorching skin in the cool water. The kind that makes you forget an entire 50K race.

Oh well, the bright side is that I usually weigh 5 pounds less in the summer due to dehydration!

It should be cool all week, Andy. Great running weather.

Star, make sure to keep drinking (water, that is).

Well, I don't know if it will be cool, but I wouldn't bet on it. I met this very nice couple from the Sun (the star) and they were going back home, they said it was too darm hot in Florida!

Tell me about it!!!!
One day last summer when I was up in Maine it got so hot that I needed to wear a SHORT sleeved shirt...BRUTAL.

I AM SO JEALOUS! You can have these beautiful spring days in PA -- all I want is heat. Bull Run Run on Sat was like running in soup and I LOVED IT! I enjoy feeling like I'm running in a wet diaper for 30 miles or more ;)

Hey Runsfor, you are in forit in May. They call it Key West, because HOT AS HELL was already taken.

Me, the Sun is my least favorite star, save Lindsay Lohan!

The weather in Denver today, sunny and warm, lovely breezes, high near 80.

Tomorrow, low of 27 with snow likely.

"BY THURSDAY THIS WINTERY MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW SHOULD COME TO AN END AS A DRIER AND MUCH WARMER HIGH
PRESSURE SYSTEM BUILDS IN FROM UTAH"

Gotta love Colorado, always something new.

Lindsey Lohan is bad. Britney Spears is worse. And you gotta love the SBSP/Soldier boy set.

The only pressure that we ever see from Utah is in the form of teenage boys wearing ties and nametags and riding around on mountain bikes.

Please don't say this is your song of the week. The fav version of this tune around my house is... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obAqJWMpeF8. Perhaps this one would've been more appropriate a few weeks ago for a controversial (removed by the blogger) entry.

Amy, that song's caca! And no my song of the week only comes out on Friday, and to choose it I'll be running in the am and BAM! It hits me, Like it did a couple of weeks ago, when your kids song would have been a fit, yet messy, fit!

What's the difference between an epilptec corn husker and a nymphomaniac with the trots? Well the corn husker is a shucking fitter and the .....

(I promise never to tell that joke again!_

For Pete's sake man, you're an educator. Don't you know the difference between an epileptic and a dyslexic???
