The Results are NOT IN!
Cheese and Crackers! These results are not done yet. I'm working I swear. I have pictures I swear. I have cute stories I swear! I will let you in on all these I swear.
I'm gonna quit Swearing.... I F@#%*ng PROMISE!!!!!
Are the results in now? How 'bout now? How 'bout now? How 'bout now? How 'bout now? How 'bout now? How 'bout now? (yeah...somehow Tracy lives with this)
Chaser, I think that race slogan is taken...And, at least at Croom, the Gatorade was already mixed. And, the aid stations had more than just water and Gatorade powder.
If you need help collating, tabulating, verifying or falsifying any of the results, let me know. I expect it would take me 8 hours, magically satisfying my Vermont 100 "volunteering" requirement. Do they realize how hard it is for a Gator to Volunteer? I can't get that weird yellow/orange color out of my head.
I recall seein the dude. Skinny feller, yet ruggedly handsome. He went by fast but I'm sure he was no more than 25 or 26 years of age. Cross checking the entry form shows 45 but that is most likely a misrepresentation of the facts (a lie?). I say we check those beer bottles he was seen with after the race and get some prints. We're just after the truth...
Andy, if yer gonna collate, please wear protection.
And "Juts Me," oh, indeed, I think Croom even has shade and doesn't run along a paved Interstate service road ... what a dummy I am, I saw it once with you, then went back for more!
Star, NONE more guilty than me there! I am mucking this up to beat the band. Hey, in hindsight, I'd rather have 8 more years of W than tally anymore results!
Oh good lord, Andy, PLEEAASSE tell me you really don't mean that! I'll come over and help you if need be. Another 8 years of W??? If that were that case (and thankfully that can't happen!), I'd jump ship and head Down Under faster than you can say...W!!
Hey, I got an e-mail which I will forward to you that chronicles how oui are all just dunderheads and that W is actually the best president ever. We are just giant babies. I'm sending it to you!
What the $# is wrong with you that you can't even get the *%#@*%) results tabulated? It's not like you had 1K participants! Get off of your @&^$ lazy @$$ and not keep these people waiting any longer!
Hey, dontchoobetalkinbout Arlene! She's A OK, she was motivating me, and it worked. I sent those files right over to Roger. Hey, like Donkey said in Shrek, "You gotta have friends...."
AndyMan has known me too long to think that I was @&%$^(#@ at him! Having had to compile results at several road races in the Tampa Bay Area, especially with people standing next to me while I was trying to sort out their sweaty finishers cards, I know how difficult it is to get it done. Being Race Director is no picnic either.
Try it sometime and you will have an appreciation for these people.
And Lynne, I did not participate. I won't run at Croom. I am in the minority that don't like to run on the trails. I'd prefer to run a marathon on the road than ANY distance on the trails! And anyone that knows me knows that that is a stretch since I hate marathons.
Good job AndyMan! I never would have done what you just did!
"You know what I call the guy who's DFL? A finisher!" Overhead at the back of the pack at Western States in 2009. It meant a lot more to me at the end than it did at mile 3 when I heard it.
"Hey were you DFL at Western States? So was I!" Some dude named Steve that I met at Umstead. He was DFL in 2006, I was DFL in 09.
Becky talking about the need for training partners, "It takes a village to run a 100-miler." June's reply, "Yeah, a village Idiot!" Priceless June Bug, priceless!
“We are not in a hurry anymore.” Roger to his crew as he entered Camp 10 Bear for the first time in the Vermont 100, Ouch! Darn evil doctors!
"Road Marathons Suck!" Words of wisdom from Professor ACG. Listen to him, he knows of what he speaks!
"It's slippery." From the dude lying on his back at the Alafia Trail 1/2, regarding the trail condition of the muddy downhill I was about to run. Thanks, now could you roll to the side.
"There is no Try, either Do or Do Not Do." Yoda. Ok, little man, that sounds like you have a Do-Do philosophy. There is no try may work for keeping the Dark Force at bay and saving an empire, but oh-great-wrinkled-one, we're talking about running 100 Miles. Now drop and give me 20, Mr. Jed-Eye!
To me, From an aid station volunteer at Ancient Oaks 100-mile trail run, "The difference is, You could do what I'm doing, I could never do what you are doing!"

Smokey Joes cafe, by, I don't know who it's by.
That's your race director, folks: He promises nothing, and he delivers!
Are the results in now? How 'bout now? How 'bout now? How 'bout now? How 'bout now? How 'bout now? How 'bout now?
(yeah...somehow Tracy lives with this)
Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller
Nothing X 2!
Tomorrow, and she knows she can cut and run anytime, and you'll still be 12 minutes behind her!
Good catch on the Smokey Joe's Cafe. Are the race results in yet?

Ouch...what's the cure for a broken ego.

Roger, I know we can think of something for you. Let's see, if you can just tell me who was the overall winner, that would be a great start, it's.....

Typical Floridians...don't know how to tally results efficiently or correctly. Sounds about right...

The winner is 45 but only looks like 25 ? Wow, I'm going to ask the Race Director all about this guy.
And I heard Jon was awesome ! And Becky and Candi never stopped working the entire time.

Then I'll quit all of this @&^$ swearing!
Then maybe not...you've known me too long....
One can always count on Arlene to be positive and uplifting...
Arlene, were you happy with your race results ?
